Special Issue: Additive Manufacturing of Metals and Alloy Materials

Crystals (MDPI). Guest Editors: Dr. Xiao Shang and Dr. Joseph Agyapong (University of Guelph).

The Special Issue invites original research, perspectives and reviews on the frontiers of metal additive manufacturing, including:

  • alloy design and composition–microstructure evolution in AM-specific alloys;
  • functionally graded and multi-material structures;
  • external-field-assisted AM (magnetic, acoustic, electric and thermal fields);
  • in-situ monitoring and multiscale modelling of solidification;
  • post-processing, heat treatment and defect–property relationships.
